Nice girls and good massage clean place πππππ
Called to make appointment, was told 60 dollars for the massage, when I got there the story changed and the Chinese lady told me I had to pay her a additional 40 dollars, I said no, she made a up and down motion with her hands ,Terrible experience, proceed with caution
Its very could in winter, I didnβt support it, and smell in the massage table
ππΌBooking: Over the phone, was able to book a 1hr massage at 4:30pm on a Friday only an hour beforehand. ππΌThe place: clean. Has a parking lot, huge plus. The massage room I was in (the first one closest to the door) was quite large, probably because they also do other services in that room. It also had the CCTV monitor in the room which took away from the calm atmosphere. Plenty of chairs to sit in while waiting, though I was just on time and didn't have to wait for my appt. ππΌThe massage: Pros - well, it was alright. It was more shiatsu than swedish, though it wasn't like I inquired beforehand what style they use - I've been to a couple of chinese massage places before and the techniques always vary. Ultimately I walked out more relaxed, but not rushing to come back again. Included hot stones and her use of them was very relaxing. Cons - she kept running over my spine. She had limited English so we had to use a translation app so I could explain to her to not run over my spine. No matter what style of massage she was trying to do, she clearly needs to review how to avoid running over the spine. The massage also ended face-down, she didn't do any work on the chest or front of shoulder. This was unexpected - for other massage places I was always informed if the massage was back-only or not, so this was another small thing to add to the cons list. She never asked me if the pressure is okay or not. Also, she took a phone call during the massage. I know it's a small business but these little things add up. ππΌThe price: $60 for 1hr full body massage. On the phone she said they take card or Zelle, and tip in cash, but it turns out when I went to pay they only take Zelle. And she told me upfront before the massage that the minimum tip is $20 - I agreed only because I just wanted to get the massage done today and not go to my usual place in Hoboken (another chinese-owned place that takes pride in their services and is even cheaper but gets many repeat customers like myself, and which I used as a comparison ). That said, I do not believe the level of service I got was worth 30% tip. ππΌMy verdict: Perhaps it's worth a try for you, especially if you're local (and maybe get a different masseuse, unfortunately I forgot to ask her name), but for $80 I'd rather stick to my usual place in Hoboken or even step up to the $100+ for 1hr massage spas range to at least get my money's worth.
